I just installed this kit on my scooter after blowing up the piston on the Naraku 70cc i had in it. I'm using Delloro 22mm carb 105 mail jet needle on last groove also using uni air filter. Weights are 5 .3 grams and using red contra with red spring in a Naraku clutch. My question is their a way to get rid of the slight delay when you first hit the gas before it takes off like a bat out of hell. I tried 4.5 slider weights but the rpms were just way too much when the power band hit. Any suggestions?

Metering needle. Last groove. Do you mean it's in it's richest or leanest position?
If it's in the richest position I'd try dropping it a notch or two and seeing if that helps any.

Did you change anything other than the cylinder kit?

It has a Stage 6 Replica pipe on it. could the lag be because i am using the red contra and red clutch springs. they are rated at 2000 rpm. I also heard the lag could be caused by using a uni filter. Once it goes i bet its going 70mph plus. Its just the lag that sucks when taking off

Do you think the clutch needs to be stalled to a higher rpm? But your clutch is probably maxed out with the red +2000 springs.

I tried yellow contra and yellow springs(1500rpm) and it falls out of the power band where the red springs and red contra keep it in the power band much longer
