Is it worth to buy one of those oil coolers, do they work?, when I should consider installing one?

They def work. 90gtvert has data to back it up.
Id love to know of any consensus on when theyre 1. Good to have, and 2. Necessary.
I would def say its necessary if youve spent alot of money building the engine.
Im inclined to get one, that way i feel 100% comfortable to run wot a 8000+rpm for long periods. And so i feel more comfortable with a jet thay gives best power as opposed to a compromise between power and rich for cooling.

It really does seem like a usefull mod, it would for sure reduce cht, not as much as water cooled head, but it is for sure one of the easiest ways to cool your engine I am worried about clogging of the cooling radiator and pump not being able to circulate oil and cause failure of the engine

It is time for a slightly more powerful oil pump.

It is time for a slightly more powerful oil pump. Thats a legit concern. Oil coolers, and long lines if designed wrong will restrict oil flow. Are these available?

Electric could work with a pressure failure alarm.

I would be hesitant to use an electric pump. Nothing is garaunteed to work forever, But i think a mechanical pump would be more reliable.

After thinking some about it perhaps you need to consider oil pressure that stock pump provides and make sure it does not go much less after all your lines and radiators. I personally would not use electric pump because it's not reliable, if it stops then engine will get zero oil flow (broken electric pump will be major bottleneck) and be gone in minutes.
Most reliable solution that does not lower reliability of the engine.
Option 1. 1. Drill 2 holes on bottom or low on the side of "oil pan". 2. Make thread in aluminum for fittings. 3. Install electric pump and cooler. Option 2. 1. Fit two cooper pipes trough oil dipstick hole one for sucking oil out from oil pan other for returning it back in. 2. Install electric pump and cooler and connect to pipes, make sure pipes are flared or threaded at the end, i don't like compression fittings.
This this way its totally optional (electric pump not obstructing mechanical oil flow) and does not hurt anything if it turns off.

Katt, I like your option #2. If anything fails you still have the stock pump like you did before and when all is well...you get more oil capacity and better cooling as well. Seems like a win/win to me.

Scooter oil temp and oil level is critical. If you run your scooter just a few ounces low on oil it will likely overheat. This thread has me considering adding an oil cooler.
I like option 1 because option 2 might be less reliable mechanically and could make checking oil lvel more difficult.
if I did either 1 or 2, I'd like to add an oil filter in the process.
But remember, an electric oil pump could hog up a lot of the scooters available electrical power. You could run into problems keeping the battery charged.

Supercool! (sorry 'bout that). Anyone have pics of the inside of the right side crankcase cover and/or the outside of the right side crankcase?

With both option and i think especially the second, oil may get air bubbles in it and it is more likely to kill your engine
