head lights all weird after changing all electrica

So i just got done replacing

cdi
coil
stator
plug

and now the headlight is all weird in that it will shine bright and fade out and back on. It seems like it has nothing really to do with engine rpm it just does whatever it wants. the voltage regulator was the only part I did not change and am wondering if thats it.

you rev the engine up the headlight gets brighter and brighter and then just dims almost completely out. I turn the bike off turn it back on and were money until gas is applied. its really unusal. the scooter runs like a champ

Sounds like your regulator/recifier is shot, get a volt meter on the battery and tell us what the reading is when you rev it.
