so hi. long story short about a month ago i bought a Peace Renegade 50cc in non-running condition for super cheap. it's technically the 2nd chinese scooter i've owned... the first was a 150cc unit i bought a good 12 or 13 years ago, and ended up selling a year later. the problem with this one turned out to be a simple quick fix and i was happily putt-putting around my local area for the next few weeks. then not too long ago i went to ride it, and it was completely utterly dead. turned out to be a fuse. replaced fuse, and it popped again immediately. investigated, and found a seriously fubared wiring harness. bought a new wiring harness.... and it doesn't match up.
sorry to spring a technical question on you all for my first post, but does anyone have any ideas what i can do? i'm missing riding!

Basically, most of the harnesses are the same with some connector differences. You can probably make the harness work with some changes. If not, I have quite a few harnesses laying around I could send you for about $20 (covers shipping)
If you want to post some pics of the harness and especially the connectors I could look and see if I have a match.

Exactly what doesn't match up may be good to know for anyone hoping to help.

well that took longer than i expected. sorry. my problem is, the wiring harness that supposedly is the correct one for my scooter doesn't have fittings for these connectors on the switches: the connectors on the harness i received are much larger and more square. i'll provide a pic later if needed, but it was the "correct" harness for my model from an online vendor

Wow thats a tough situation.
The only thing i can think of is to try to contact the manufacturer themselves or to go to a local dealer that carries the brand.
Else if you could just get a wiring diagram you could cut and crimp the wires on the "wrong" harness that you have.
