If you have a scatterbrain like me, keeping some type of documented track of tuning changes is a must. I often can't remember what variator weights I just changed out on my last run! My pen and paper notes quickly turn into a near useless unorganized mess, they take too long to write and have no real future use in a written form.
In a past job, I had to keep track of a lot of IT network gear. I created a database on the old Palm (PDA) platform that made tracking the gear across many locations easier for me. In the process I learned a little about databases.
So yesterday I decided to do something to help me organize my tuning data into something hopefully useful. I found an Android app called Momento Database, its free in its simplest form and for the 4 or 5 hours I have been playing with it I am very impressed. It is capable of way more than I can make it do, and someone who understands databases could easily do a better job than I have. I uploaded the template I created to the Memento template catalog so if you get the momento app you can import my template to get an idea of what I am doing. You can get my template by opening the App, click on the 3 bars next to My libraries, then catalog templates, then select other from categories at the top, and choose Scooter Setups from scott29577. However anyone should be able to create their own template fairly easily, customized to their needs by just getting the App and having a go at it.
I will attempt to take some pictures or video to show what I did and how I intend to use it.
