Welcome to the forum Bruce!
Have you done a lot of repairs in those 32,000 miles? My TaoTao has around 5,000 miles on it and I've already replaced seals, gearbox bearings, the front brake had problems, worn belt, the stock variator came apart, belt replacement, regulator/rectifier issues... It's drivetrain is stock aside from an adjustable carb, CVT tuning and a couple degrees of ignition advance.

The reason people have varying results in longevity and quality is because China does not have patent pending like the United States. The factory gets parts from different supplers who can make them the quickest and cheapest. That is why Chinese scooters look the same but are completely different parts from suppliers. I have a wolf brand and there is Bintelle that tries to regulate quality being shipped to USA If toy have a TaoTao or Rocketta or something they are all a Frankenstein of different parts sppkiers..

Most China scoots have odometers that read in kilometers, not miles like their primary speed scale reads km/hr instead of miles/hr. The odometers are usually way off just like the over optimistic speedometers in the same ratios. China does not have any patent or intellectual property protections. They steal designs, software, and ideas, from everyone, everywhere.
