haha Miami guys MIA for short... and well I was born and raised in Queens... I have been in Miami for about 12-14 years now I am honestly not a big fan of summer everyday when I grew up with seasons and a beautiful white Christmas... Kinda stuck out here for the time being and all be it beautiful I'm just not that big of a fan. My lease was up with my car just a couple of months ago and I have been taking Uber everywhere which is still cheaper than what I was paying for my car + insurance + gas + valet spot + parking $4.00 an hr anywhere + sometimes tickets lol so yea scooter time!!

Welcome blackperal. I live in Miami too. There are not too many scooters in Miami (You mostly see them Downtown or on the beach). But 50cc scooters are a good idea here, you can easily navigate thru congested traffic and will save alot of money on parking. Like in Brickell...... parking is at least $15 but you can park a 50cc scooter on the sidewalk for free. Whats most amazing is that most Miami citizens have STILL not taken to 50cc scooters, they are still very rare to see on the road. Maybe thats a good thing because the parking MAFIAS would start to lobby to change the parking laws if they saw a large uptick in 50cc scooter ownership but for the time being we have it good here in Miami. 50cc scooters are flying under the radar.

Black pearl,
You are actually in a very good position (not owning a car) and I think its a smart strategy to consider to not even own a car at all. Uber is so damn cheap right now I rarely pay over $5 per trip. Car Insurance would cost at a minumum 50 dollars per month and that is for bare-bones coverage. That comes out to $600 per year
If you do the math you can see a 50cc scooter will pay for ITSELF inside of 1 year and after that it is all gravy.
You can just make friends with the neighbors and ask them if you can ride-along with them in their car when they go to the supermarket. Most people would say yes to that. If you start dating any woman here then 95% of them own a car. So there you go.
I would give same advice to ANYBODY that lives in the Big City. There are alot of very good reasons to consider NOT buying and owning a car if you live in the large metropolitan city. You are doing a big favor to the environment and alleviating traffic congestion by riding a 50cc scooter. And you are doing a big favor to your wallet with the financial savings.
Not to mention the fun of riding a scooter, its the bees knees

I love the damn ruckus the design is so my style... not sure how I feel about the mod I mean I like it but It's too low IMO but it does look sick. If I had a ruckus I would do what I can to mod it for a little more speed but try and keep the height of the seat if that makes sense. They are a bit pricey for what they are though like damn... could almost get a grom if you wait a little but then again... you could almost get anything if you wait a little lol

Hi, Its just a traditional IceBear 50cc like this in color white (I dont have a windshield and I removed my trunk box): Very similar to the TaoTao but IceBear is known for very high Q.C. It was matter of chance, when I finally had 500 bucks saved i started looking. I got mine for $400 it only had 900 miles. Registration/tags in Florida was $150 But Peace Sports, TaoTao, MVP, IceBear they are all pretty much the same scooter. I wouldnt get too hung-up on the brand, more important is the condition of the scooter. You dont want a scooter that has been in a wreck or that is an ex-rental (So dont recommend you buy from anyone that lives near the Beach. Try to buy a scooter from the original owner and stay away from any scooter with no title or with "no keys". Because any owner that "lost their keys" does not sound like a responsible person.
