Check out Modern Vespa's not so modern section and well as the other Vintage Vespa forums. Its what I'm going to put on my 150 Sprint V. From what I read they are a good solid BBK, not to much and not to little. There are other better go fast cylinders but with that come some tuning headaches.

I’ve put a couple On some Stella’s. A little bit of clean up work when and arise the exhaust port just over a mm and they make some pretty good power. Just make sure to check the pistion to wall clearance I’ve had a couple where they were sloppy and needed a larger pistion right out the box

Many thanks

Following this thread, as I'm a somewhat new Stella (150 2t) owner. drc174 might have some real good info on this setup.

That's the kit I've got on my Vespa P. Mine is pretty heavily ported and decked but it's a super solid kit, makes good power and is known for reliability. It's not a race setup by any means however, but is really well suited to street use.
I run it with my stock 20/20 upjetted and a BGM Big Box exhaust.

Alright, time to sound like a dickhead/smartass.
DR kit comes with a head that is utter garbage. The compression is beyond lame.
Timing wise, it is not too bad. The boosted exhaust port is great. However, 115ish intake time is ok, 160 exhaust timing is not. If you run a simple box, you wanna go up to 165 minimum, 170ish. Big box exhaust and expansion chambers I would put a 0.5/1.0mm spacer underneath and deck it. Get a good compression ratio going, 1.5ish squish or a little lower even. The big issue is the exhaust port with the side boosters. Without the right tools, nigh impossible to work on.
Gickspeed makes an amazing head, but that sets you back another hundred.
Now here comes my favorite cylinder into play.
Polini. Sure you can slap it on, ride the 110/167 as is. It has a tighter compression already. Put a 1.5mm gasket underneath, raise your exhaust and match cases (work on both cylinder and the cases) and oh boy... exhaust port is suuuper easy to work on, can be stretched to 65% width with original rings. Get a GS piston or only rings and you can go further.
TL;DR: if you just wanna slap em on, either one is ok. Watch the piston ring gap, usually too tight on both cylinders (bore x 0.004 is a good formula). As a replacement they are easy workin’, all grunt down low. Just finished a untouched Polini bolt on, good commuter, but nothing exciting. Now if you wanna do some work to it, Polini all the way.
I
EDIT: I just noticed it was actually a simple “is it ok?” Question. Yes it is. Make sure to check your gap clearance and run it in nicely. Run a 24.24 if you can (125ish mainjet), drop your oil injection and run 3% castor 2T oil. Because smell. Make sure you don’t run the original exhaust. And if your LmL has over 5000 miles, consider a new crankshaft. The stock ones are REALLY bad.

That would probably explain my happiness with it. Matt

Matt yeah his DR work is legit it has huge potential, just having access to the right tools to do it (90deg foredom grinder etc) are tough to get a hold of (expensive) and practice

s.click.aliexpress.com/e/BHXS9ZkcThat is what I have, it's stupid cheap. I'm sure it won't last forever but it works pretty good for what it is. Has both straight and 90 and they are tiny.

My new 24/24 came with a be3 mixer not sure what air corrector is but should it be a 160 plus do I need to change the mixer to another size Can I leave oil pump in place Will a sito + exhaust be ok or wait till I can afford a sip roadrace many thanks
