I am new here and started some threads and ask many questions. The scoot I am restoring is primarily for my son but it will be a family scoot - wife and I plan to take some fun trips to the store too. BUT - I have had several motorcycles in my life - mostly big bore super fast and dual purpose hondas, and now having played with this scooter for the past few weeks I got the lust for 2 wheels again. But I do not want a big powerful heavy fast bike again (and I still have a cycle endorsement on my license) . Then I saw this 250cc bobber. Makes me go hmmmmmmmmm.........it is like a scoot - only different - like a motorcycle but different. I like it. I hope I don't get flamed cause it it not a scoot but it is cool.

I don't think you have to worry about getting flamed for owning or wanting a big bike here. Plenty of us own or want or at least like motorcycles. That one's pretty cool. Would be really cool looking with a few tweaks. I'd like to see that with sleeker lights and mirrors and minus a few reflectors.

it is one of those crate delivery bikes - $1,995 shipped and you put it together a little bit. Has a 250cc honda rebel type chinese clone 4 stroke engine. I am tall and fat, and I would probably look goofy on it but I don't care.

I could tell it was Chinese just by looking at it. The lights I mentioned are a dead giveaway, as is the engine and the front brake is smaller than what most manufacturers would use. Looks fun regardless.
The only bad part of buying something like that is that you could pick up a used 250 Ninja for a similar price in good condition and it would be faster, better built, and more reliable.
