you can CARIFULY grind a slot in it so you can use a big straight plaid screwdriver to remove it. good luck buddy!

Results: No grinder used hacksaw fisrt few cut oil start coming out had to wait for slow drain. Then a few more cuts. Tried with thin screwdriver broke part of plug off. Put large screwdriver in hole an try to turn, broke the rest off leaving just the edge. Using a large screwdriver and small hammer make a notch and keep tapping finally got it to turn. Not pretty but worked. Thanks appreciate your feed back.

Glad you got it out. I've had such horrible luck lately breaking off bolts and breaking extractors that I thought I better not offer advice. My latest one ended up in a machine shop for removal.

Are you talking about the strainer cap on the bottom of the engine or the oil drain plug on the side of the engine? You don't have to remove the oil strainer to change the oil. That oil strainer cap is aluminum so it's soft and it has an o-ring that will wear out if you remove that cap a lot of times. You can use the solid steel drain plug on the side of the engine for oil changes. That's why it's there. 50cc 150cc

Yes, it is the alumium cap at the bottom of the engine that holds the screen. Did not know about the side drain plug. Will be checking it out. Thanks
