whats up guys, just got my first scoot. a 2015? TaoTao50 in pepto pink. got her for $300 with 131 miles on her. 1 $24 ebay carburetor later she runs like a top. As you can see I have installed this nice sticker, I have also installed a cone filter (carb is supposedly prejetted for a cone filter intake, changed the oil with 5W-40 synthetic and put a tank of gas with some Lucas gas cleaner in it. put over 100 miles on it already and having a blast with it. already ordered some LEDs, a variator kit, a 2000rpm clutch spring kit, an intake manifold, and a spark plug. soon will get an exhaust, a better rear shock (not sure what to get there) and maybe some more stickers. I plan on lowering it for some better looks but also need heavy duty rear because I am not small. I am mechanically inclined and have worked as a mechanic (and hold a degree in automotive technology) but I am new to carbs and variators. I only live 1 mile from work and own two cars so this is just a fun thing to work on that saves short trips in the camaro

Note to others researching . . save yourself a lot of aggravation by initially selecting at least a 125cc (which does require a motorcycle license and insurance).

pinkscoot, I am married so not to worried about the attention from the ladies lol but everyone at work stands around to look at it when the guys with the harlies get no attension.

Tortosi2, maybe so but I have only a 1.1 mile communte to work and soon to be only 0.4 miles and I own 2 cars so I am not to worried about how long it lasts, I will just keep fixing it forever maybe down the road do a 150cc swap as I have a small stick welder.

Aeroxbug, modding is life. I can get a big bore kit, racing head, and 24mm carb for the price of an intake for my camaro or focus, cheap mods = <3
