Here's a hint, more than 30 minutes at this altitude in a plane requires supplemental oxygen

Of course if you want curves a bit slower and safer there's always Garden of The Gods. You can rent scooters at the trading post now, 50cc vintage style, I passed, but next trip I'll prolly bring my scooter if I end up rebuilding the engine this winter.

Nice scenery, I have been to both places and went hiking in the 'garden'. My ex was kind of like yours. She liked mountains or scenery as long as she didn't have to look 'down'. I would walk right up to a cliff etc and look down, she wouldn't go within 25' on a flat surface, on a slope she wouldn't get that close. She didn't like freight elevators or open back stairs either. Then she would do strange things like hike a ridgeline... Maybe sometimes it was because we were with the kids and they were fearless like me.

Lovely scenery peascreek . At what height are you in that area? Pike's peak is a little over 14,000 feet, the Garden is around 7000 I believe

Great scenery. A 50cc scooter up there would be making no power at all. He fun to try though.

A 50cc would get you around GOTG, it would be fun, twisty winding one way traffic, don't see any carbureted scooter under 250cc making it to Pikes Peak and even then it would need obvious mods. Hard part would be the run downhill with no real engine braking, stock pads and rotors would melt pretty quick I imagine ")
