Is this pipe suitable for my set-up? All i got done is a slightly larger vari,4g rollers(just ordered d.p. 5g sliders), red clutch springs and the 70cc kit. Will the pipe be okay with a stock crank? the owner of the pipe seems to think it may be an issue?? Iknow ill have to upjet...but how bout it? I just need some advice from someone that has experience with these city 16's. It is derestricted too..

Dang!No replies yet?Stock crank is no worry, read 2strokd's build thread of Skeedr back when it was a 70cc.Stock crank, had a couple of different cylinders on it,several different carbs,at least 3 pipes(the last is a C16 clone I built for him),,STOCK BOTTOM END!! My opinion :2cents: If you want a mild near stock 70cc scooter, get a LV,If you plan to progressively build up a screamer, the C16 will be with you all the way!! :thumb:

lol, Your post had me looking at my old vids John... On that old mule motor we ran everything on and let rev as high as it would...That engine is still alive and well! Another old engine i periodically ran the piss out of and revved to 12,000 is on a DD now and runs great!
Heres an old vid with a Polini Sport(46mm bore) kit and an old tired Leo ZX. Man i miss Skeedr as a daily driver.
Looking back at some old vids made me think and ask myself what i would do then if i could get a Yasini pipe..Any of em. IDE ALREADY HAVE BOUGHT IT

well i decided that the c16 wouldnt be a suitable pipe for this bike. Me and 2strokd are working up a plan to build a screamer and will find an exhaust for that when its time to cross that bridge. Im kinda happy with the way my scoots turning out. Even though a pulled stud is causing a head gasket leak and poor compression- my scoot is still seeing upwards or 45-47mph. cant wait to see how she'll run when my helicoils come in. I did find a pipe on ebay that for the price, Im gonna have to do it. I dont think it will bolt up to my minarelli, but I can always get the front fabbed to fit. heres a link. maybe someone has experience with these? cgi.ebay.com/DERBI-HUNTER-SEVEN-TUBARRO-SPORT-EXHAUST-NEW-/350481920083?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item519a59b053

Good call trying to save some money on a decent pipe... TBH tho, i think by the time you get that one and pay to ship it. Then pay to have the right header fabbed to work for you...Well, with the money and extra hassle i think your better off finding something else that is a direct fit. I dont think you would save anything in the long run. Just my two tho ...

I think I finally caught a break. I dont wanna seem too picky with an exhaust, but I just got a feeling that the right pipe will either make or break my project. I was looking around for one today and went on ebay to look up a v8 pipe that i think is sold by daywot thats similar to one jiangwayne sells and I found this.. cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=360386858774I contacted the guy and paid for it 20 minutes later!! I dont know anything about these, or any other exhausts for scooters, but the zx's seem to be pretty popular. Anybody have good/bad reviews about these? And what mods(if any) are needed to the hanger?

If you got that for $16.00, wow. :thumb: That pipe is somewhere between the SP3 and the ZX. Makes power to roughly 9,000RPM.

lol no i accepted his 100.00 shipped offer and he ended early. He said he took it for a 5 minute cruise so its still basically new. In the past 2-3 months Ive only caught like two used exhausts thatll work for my engine on the forums and well, everywhere for 100.00 or less, so I'm happy. Im hoping itll let my scoot rev more since I put that crappy new belt on she dont wanna open up all the way.

got an email from the gentleman this morning that said he sold his daughters zuma last night, so he's gonna include some left over parts he had for it, like a stage6 roller set, contra spring, and carbon reeds. It all sounds good- ill be at ease more when i get a tracking number.

Thats gonna play the biggest factor in that IMO.
