Hi there. Just signed up tonight. My name is Brian. Currently live in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I've been lurking (like another member posted earlier) for the past few years, when I needed to look up advice or what not. Just thought I'd drop a line to say hey. I currently own a 2018 Tao Tao New Speed 50 (black) scooter as well as a 2008 Lance Milan 150cc burgundy scooter. Love riding both, for different reasons. Anyhow, hoping to learn more as well as contribute from time to time. Everyone have a great week ahead! I'll try to post my Route 66 scoot trek pics soon (I live right near it so go often.) Previously owned several Tao Tao 50cc scooters (and built them partially with the aid of YouTube videos. Glorious.) I've owned: TaoTao Quantum Tour 150cc, TaoTao ATM50 and a few others.

Thanks for the warm welcomes! And jwinn & oldgeek.. it is a very awesome ride. I live on the stretch of 66 in and around Albuquerque. The bit that goes east from here (I-40 E) outside of town has Route 66 as a separate street that runs alongside the modern I-40. If you take 66 out of town going east you cross a 'musical bridge' which plays music as you drive over (going 35 mph or less.. I believe it plays a bit of the national anthem), then that takes you past the mountains and into a woodsy east mountain area. Here is a town called Tijeras, and Edgewood is also close by. The views out here are amazing. 66 has a speed limit of 40-45 there and it's perfect for a 50cc ride since there is also a bicycle lane here, and since it's a one way each way sometimes being in the bicycle lane is best. Still a great ride. I'll post some pics soon! I encourage everyone else who lives near 66 to take your scoot out for a trek on the Mother Road, a piece of history that I'm honored to visit frequently on my regular weekend scoot rides.
