I am wondering what a safe cold start RPM is for warm-up? I have my auto-enricher on a switch so I can leave it turned on longer in the winter to help warm up, but the motor runs at about 4000 until I hit the switch then it goes down to about 1700 rpm for normal idle after a minute or two. Is that a safe rpm for cold start and constant idle for about 3-5 minutes till the motor gets some heat built up and I ride it or should I lower it?

Short an,the enricher is at full on from cold the power supply gradually cuts off the extra fuel.I don't,t bother with a warm up just kick her up ride like you stole it.

Yes, I know how it works, I am just wondering if the 4k (cold) idle is too high for cold start to warm it up before I turn off the enricher(give it power)

That's pretty high, but as long as the scoot is secure so it won't takeoff if the wheel is spinning then it prob won't be a big issue. You could try adjusting the idle mixture again to see if you end up with less of a gap in the enricher on/off idle speeds.

I've noticed this behavior on stock carbs/jetting..hi enricher rpm. , after upjetting from stock (lean) jetting ive noticed a calmer/lower enricher engine speed. And it seems stock carbs need a twist or two on throttle for accelerator pump to prime/tickle prior to starting. Just my 2 cents worth. My zummer with 20 mm well/properly jetted carb. Can sit for days & fire up without priming & enricer speed is around 2200 rpm. Then settles to 1800 warmed up.
