After a bit of swapping and saleing I was able to buy a 2003 derbi gp1. It is a liquad cooled 2 stroke Piaggo. It already has a malossi 70 sport kit and the cvt has been tuned some. It takes off pretty hard and I have had it up to 49 mph already but it seemed as it was starting to run out of gears but that could be that it needed a belt because the old one was dust but the best we could do is guess at so the belt might be a little short but still it is a 805. I'm going to try and leave it alone but due to Ish I don't know how long I will be able to. lol :riding: :scoot2:

Very nice indeed. I think the Europeans really have the scooter market locked. Liquid cooling, fuel injection, so on, so forth...Turbos next? <grin>

I'm no fan of European cars in general and with the exception of Triumph I don't care much for their motorcycles either. Their scoots are a different matter though...Peugeot, Aprilia? Yes indeed. The Derbi is a brand that looks promising but it almost shares the same name with my boss (I hate his punk ass) so I don't even want to go there! LOL! Now if an American company can rise up and create a true, blue blooded set of models, I'd be happy. (And in case somebody is listening, don't even do a Vespa-style...okay? We've got enough nostalgia in the American motrocycle industry as it is...HATE Harleys!)
