I came across a great deal on 5lt or 1.3 gallons of castor oil. It's straight castor with nothing mixed in. I spend most of the time on WOT on my scooter which revs consistently at 9500rpm.
Is it a good idea to run it straight? Or mix it with synthetic oil?

I would just use a good full synth oil and keep away from the super expensive castor oil. Read up some fora and you'll see castor oil is total overkill on road machines. Unless you ride a 125cc on mx tracks like a gp rider or take your 14k rpm hyper racr build to the race track.
Don't mix it either...doenst want to be mixed with other oils.

Full synth oil is quite expensive for me. Not sure if it's just Australia, but ipone is $130 for 4 litres. Or $90 for 4lt of Castrol. I can get the castor oil for 5lt $80.

Just FYI, castor oil isn't usually any good for injection.

How about Putoline MX-5, Castrol Power RS, Motul 800, Silkolene comp 2, Bel Ray H1-R? Those are excellent full synth 2t oils, have you checked on those?

Same story mate, all expensive. Especially motol oils. That strawberry rock oil is semi synth. Basically just want to know if there are any ill effects of using castor in a scooter that's wide open all the time?

Pure as in only bean ? Nahhh i would go oldschool like Blendzall ultra for injection or premix or Green label for premix only they still work or even golden spectro No other additives with today's fuels might not work out nice . Even 927 is still killer oil just depends on your app..

We ran a lot of castor back in the day for racing, still run 927 in the one off projects..Castor lubed real well, but had gummy deposits,we'd do frequent teardowns to de gum the piston and ring/groove.I would'nt use it for street use myself..

I agree with 190mech. Synthetic for the street. Even in my race days, we used Castrol A747, which was a 50/50 blend of caster oil and synthetic. The problem with caster oil, especially by itself, is that it generates a varnish at the temperatures you are running. OK for 12,000+ rpms. Just OK. The goo inside your exhaust pipe will increase by a big factor, therefore need much more frequent cleaning.
The only other real issue is that straight caster usually has no additives, like corrosion inhibitors. That is why A747 was so popular with 2T road racers. It had a modest amount to help protect the then chromed bores and keep the squish bands clear of deposits. I have seen where kart racers will run caster just to build up deposits to increase compression, then run synthetic for a race, only to be disqualified during a post race tear down. Squish too narrow.
Here in Thailand, with still many 2 strokes around, we have fairly inexpensive 2 stroke oils. I use PTT Challenger 2T from Lazada, Thailand...or Castrol GO 2T. Both around 295 Bhat ($9.00, 7.15GBP, 7.95 euro) for a liter. They are the expensive ones here. Take a look at Lazada. They often have shipping deals here. It is a joint venture with Alibaba and a Thai marketing company. Not sure about the States or Europe.
One 2T liter for me is 8 tanks of fuel at 40:1. (5 liter x 125ml per fill = 1 liter)

Update! I had some castor that I threw in for shits and gigs.
FUCK CASTOR OIL!
My rings gunked up and stuck to the piston. My Scoot was running at 10k rpm. Still not enough to burn the castor properly. Ill leave it for the go karts that get rebuilt every other race
