I need someone who owns a 2007 tgb r50x to help me out. I need to see the inside of your cvt cover, as mine came with missing parts and I am having trouble figuring out what I have and what is missing. I need a pic, if possible, maybe even a pic of all the parts laid out on a table in the right order front to back, but not necessary. Thank you.

Ok, I saw that already, what confused me about it was that the variator face has 3 threads for that bracket and spring to stay in place. However, all mine has (starting from the rear) is: - The variator (a replacement which has lighter weights and no outer ring to screw on) - The “sleeve” that holds the variator centered (I guess it’s a bearing of sorts) -The belt - a weird face which has two separate pieces: a smooth layer that goes facing the belt , then a really thin face that looks similar to a Vespa face - a regular nut the previous owner got from apparently truevalue - The outer kickstart gear (there is no threaded kickstart nut as shown in the diagram you sent) The face looks like one off of a Vespa Aprilia , the closest math has part number AP2MEA000091 , and looks exactly like what I have I don’t know what I’m the world the previous owner was smoking when he told me that there were only carb problems, but maybe you guys could help me understand a bit better lol Also, do all of the r50x scooters have the face with the three threads around them or only some?

My R50X is the same as shown in the diagram.

My R50X is the same as shown in the diagram. Ok, so it’s confirmed. I’m very lucky that my scooter has lasted this long considering the state of that cvt. I can confirm the crank has almost no play so that seems alright, and I’ve managed to get the thing running very good, and so I felt comfortable installing the alarm/remote start, ordering a new carb, ordering new seals, etc. I guess I’ll also be needing some cvt parts , as well. I’m just glad that the thing hasn’t been damaged because of it. Also, a little secret is when I drained the gear oil, I never remembered to refill it, cause I’m dumb, so really I’m just on a luck streak so far with this. I’ll wait to order the parts till I make sure the new carb and seals help with my hard starting (my original carbs bowl seals have gone , which I think is the cause of my bad vacuum)

Looks like the parts are readily available. Just a matter of working out exactly what you need now. Good luck

There’s like no performance variators out there intended for TGBs because of the kickstart arrangement making it a more complex part to cast. Sounds like someone swapped on a variator intended for some other Morini based engine.

Hmm, that’s what I thought, but the face is so thin that the nut they tried to use to hold it in place doesn’t screw down far enough to even touch it, the threads end So either way I’ll have to buy the proper setup eventually.

I wanna say I saw stock ones on parts for scooters.
