Some kid was selling a Goped Sport model for $20 on craigslist so I bought it for shits and giggles. It had a few problems but I dealt with those in short order. Runs great! It goes about 20-25mph. Simple little machine really. The tire rubs on a spindle on the crank so you don't need a pull starter. You just push start it. When you stop you have to hold the front brake and lift the back wheel off the ground or it'll die. I'm gonna jury-rig a seat on it so I can cruise it to the liquor store with a back-pack. ;D It's like this but it has a velocity stack and a free flow filter. This is the engine on mine:

Is that a 49cc or one of the smaller ones? If it's a 49cc, I think it's like the engine that was in my old cateye midbike. Tune the carb . A little port work worked well. Remove gaskets to get more compression. Free flowing pipe, unless you wanna spend a little to get a tuned pipe. Maybe a homemade boost bottle.

Hee Hee! You see an engine and immediately wanna tear it down and race-kit it. ;D It's a 22.5 cc engine. It puts out about 2 HP scooter.wikia.com/wiki/Zenoah_G23LHI'm just gonna keep it the way it is. I'm too poor for all those mods. I might get a larger diameter spindle for a higher top-end speed though. I checked around on-line and this model is $500 new and all those race parts are expen$ive.

It looks like a really similar design. You might wanna do the free stuff I listed anyway.
