Alright I have a 03 Derbi with the piaggio in it. It has a 70cc malossi kit unsure about what kit it is thou. So I'm unsure of what pipe might work the best with it. I don't want to up grade the crank in it yet so the rev's need to be keep down. I do know that it will not be long till I have to put a set of up gears in it as now it seems that i'm getting really close to the end of them. I can pull 50 on a flat and I got 53 on a slight downhill today. :riding: Any thoughts would be great.

Leo Vince ZX would be my first choice The standard cranks are pretty robust, it took 13500rpm to kill mine.

That's a good offer - I'd take it. What carb does yours have? Some Piggy's have 14mm, other's a Delly 17.5mm.

I'm not sure but the owners manual says a delly 17.5mm. And thanks to Ishigham his write up on his runner which is a cousin to my Derbi is the reason I bought it on the most part. I'm not going to go as wild as he has but I do want to be able to give the 150's a run for there money and let them know that a 2 stroke half there size and be something to deal with. :burnout: :wheelie: :riding: :scoot:

A little work (better exhaust and well setup) should see you eating 150's for breakfast ;D

Cool I would be really happy if I can do that with just adding a pipe and a set of gears to what I have already. But I do have something that I would like to do first really. The headlight sucks really bad and the sight you sent me the other day has halagon headlights buckets for many scoots just not for mine I need to figure out what one is close to mine so I can switch it.

HID kit might be a good move, you can get them cheap if you look around. The halogen headlamps are mostly worse than stock, you aren't missing much to be honest.

I found one but i'm not sure how well my reflector would work or the charging system to keep the battery up as they work on dc.

i put HID in my keeway a few weeks ago its pretty awesome, but i had the same DC problem your having. i just installed a switch and ran power directly to the battery, but if i did it again i would rewire my controls on the handle bars... seemed like alot of work at the time, but now i have buttons that dont do anything
