wondering what ppl think of switching to a light bar, im sure id have to have it pointed down a lil but with my stock lights atm i cant see prob 3 feet infront of me on a dark night. just wondering what ppl think of them and have you ever had a issue with being pulled over using them? this is on my 150 not sure if this is the right spot to post up so apologies if not.

i was more concerned about being pulled over lol these things are hella bright, im just gonna bolt it right to the front of my frame so no need for a bracket. i was gonna go with led bulbs but just how my moped is setup the light gets blocked by the angle idk. thx for the reply!

I've used LED spot lights (round rather than the bars) quite a bit. I haven't been pulled over, but I'm careful with the aim because I've seen a lot of people flashing high beams at me or clearly annoyed if I'm behind them when the aim is up too much.

I’m in Texas and the cops don’t care. As long as the bike passes yearly inspection and you have your sticker, you’re good. They leave all the required things (headlight height, mirrors, workling horn, bike height, etc) to the inspectors. I’ve asked them one time if my headlights were to low and they told me if you passed inspection they’re not to low.

A 50cc technically qualifies as a motorcycle but the inspection fee is under a buck. I still pay that even though mines 170ccs, cause it doesn’t matter what it is now, it’s matters what it started out life as, cause that’s the only record they have on the VIN.

I always trip on peoples registration stories. for California wanting to involve itself in EVERYTHING, they don't give a crap about the scooter scene. only scooter I have a pinkslip for is my 2 80'express's. and they haven't been registered since 84. hell I never even put them in my name. lol. just filed them with all my other vehicle pinkslips in my safe. no inspections no stickers, the blue 84 aero and blue express are the only 2 with their real plates on them although I run them upside down.. I just put some blue masking tape over the month/ year stickers, as told to do by an officer that pulled me over way back when. he actually told me to take them off. if not cover the stickers up. also told me to take off the blinkers, don't ride on the sidewalk and if the motors running I need to wear a helmet, only lights I needed were a headlight and taillight after dark. like a bicycle. I always ride the bike lanes, unless im masking a left turn, then I merge though when safe. all of them have underlights, 3 have RGBW light strips with remotes to change the colors/ effects. my orange aero has a chrome scull for a plate, my chopper spree ha a personalized plate off a Harley I bought at the Harley swap meet years ago. just covered the stickers. it reads BK HK DWN. My gyro is the only one that has no plate. until I find something cool for it. ive never been asked for registration or paperwork. only thing they ask is am I on probation or parole. when told no they drive off. and I roll 40-45mph in the bike lanes. with my lights on or flashing, radio turned way up. cops just don't care as long as the scooters or my dyno roadster moped are supposedly 49cc. ive never even seen or heard of a cop checking for a cc stamping.
