Ah. It looks like that reflective rim stickers that they sell specifically for rim edges. Still looks nice, though.

im also working on this new awsome idea for a ground breaking cold air induction system thats mounted behind a grille in the front fairing, then uses flexible tubing down through the body into the carb, im hoping the distance away from the carb will provide much cooler air, forced into the filter and the distance may eliminate some of the excessive noise caused by the open filter... im planning to make pictures and instructions so if its sucessfull maybe i can be put into the all so famous "tech libirary"

Before setting everything up just as you want it, I'd suggest routing the tubing quickly for a test run. Use about the same length of tubing you plan to use and put the filter into fresh air somehow. Zip tie it or whatever it takes to do it quick but safe to ride. Test it and see if it does enough to be worth all the work.
A stock airbox with the snorkel removed will flow quite well and doesn't make a lot of noise. I'm all for new ideas and setups though.

yeah word... thats the plan now... just take the air box off and test run it, im asuming the jets will still be too small so it may just be a sound check... im still waiting for my presious tuned pipe to arrive before i re jet, so if it works nicely i may just install it and leave it non functional untill i get the pipe, jet it, then hook it up to the carb...
ill post some updates on how it goes though....

so looks like cai idea was a filure... patialy at least, i wound up using the stock air box and extending the snokel to go way under the floorboard on the scooter inside though so its well protected from the elements but stiill gets cool calm air. looks like it was sucessfull, it runs real nice. esp on cool breezy nights you can feel the diff for sure! once i get my jets im planning to remove the snorkel and make this 1 1/4 pipe go all the way into the box and the other end going to the same location. well see what happens with that....
also, MY pipe is supposed to be here today!!! im excited. but i was wondering... will the scooter run properly on stock jetting with the pipe? im not saying like perfect but good enough to commute? i was planning to put it on at lunch break and come back but im a bit limited on time to be switching back and forth.

You'll probably need to upjet. Usually 5-10% larger main jet. It might run OK, but I'd go easy on it. Could end up with a soft seize. Safest bet is to do it all at once when you have time.

do you know what size jet comes stock on the vento triton? so i know exactly what size to buy? im trying to find it localy, its going to be for the tuned pipe and the airbox w snokel removed...

Sorry, it's been a long time since I had my original carb. Most minarellis seem to be 50-70 main stock. I know that's not very helpful, sorry.

I had 3 stock carbs, and 2 of them came with a stock 70 main jet. The third carb had been upjetted to an 82.5.

do you know what size jet comes stock on the vento triton? so i know exactly what size to buy? im trying to find it localy, its going to be for the tuned pipe and the airbox w snokel removed... stock jet sizes: main jet: 80 idle needle jet: 57.5 See the 2 pics below.
