I would like to know what type of 2 cycle I should use in my 2 cycle engine. Auto Zone has a multipurpose Havoline oil and Pennzoil Marine Premium Plus 2 cycle Synthetic Blend Outboard engine oil. Both are TC-W3 and both are for injector or premix systems. Is the Pennzoil better since it is a Synthetic Blend. The Engine is a Minarelli 50 cc engine with a Mikuni carb. What do you think. Thanks Hilltopper2

TC-W3 oil is for liquid cooled marine applications. It's too thick for our air-cooled applications. What you need is 2T oil. Synthetic is best, of course, but not the be all and end all. There are high quality mineral oil based 2 stroke oil that can do quite well for you.

back in the day you could get good 2 stroke any where but those days are done and over like was said you have to find a local motorcycle/scooter shop that still caters to those of us the love the smell of burning oil if no shops then im sure you can find a local amsoil dealer
