Maybe a long case Mina paper clipped into one of these? these are electric, and I've heard you can actually make these pretty fast I just adding extra batteries.

I'm glad the "pop" sound of reality was heard. My wife is in the far lane going "grudge match" 1/8 mile. In the near lane was a team out of Saginaw, MI.

After going full custom frame I’m surprised they kept it that upright.

I'm starting to wish I didn't get rid of the old thread in the Staff area. The closed area of the forum actually started as our sorta internet race team. 190mech, 2strokd, stepthrutuner, and I used it as our top secret area to talk about drag racing ideas or plans for NASRA. There was quite a bit thrown around as far as little stuff for a while that probably would have been of interest here. Then it turned into John's monster creations like "Snoopy" (the dragster) and his wild MX/Mina hybrids that got sent to Robert to kick ass with. Now it's pretty much just John and I staring at each other with an occasional hello from Robert or Reg and mostly actual storage for forum stuff. RE: The electric kid's scooter... I almost grabbed one locally some time ago from craigslist to put a Minarelli in.... Then I saw the frame. Me (300lb) has no business on that thing with the stock motor, let alone a 2T. I got the impression that it would squish at the mere thought of my ass on the seat. When you look at the forks and so on, it would be a death trap with a real engine. I built a cateye with a 114cc 4 speed in it that would do 50+MPH with 6" wheels and literally no brakes unless you count your shoes and rode the hell out of it, and the kids scooter was too sketchy for me or I'm just too old now and a front wheel falling off at 60MPH just doesn't sound fun anymore.

My daughter has that pink scooter and you’d be surprised how well it holds weight. I used to ride 2 up with us on it (280+/-) and with larger ah batteries it goes pretty well. Years ago I put a 7hp engine in one and that was fun. I think a short case vino swap would be awesome and could be totally doable. I’ve got ideas now.

I notice a lot of them are using what looks like a BMX bicycle front end? to save weight. Rigid fork and all. Are the rear shocks valved to let the bike squat and slowly come back up like on a drag car? This all came around because I’m working on a digger inspired build and got to looking at drag racing motorcycles and went down a full rabbit hole from there and realized I’d have no clue how to start a drag race build scooter. Yes, atb front end. Honda spree-ish front wheel. Rear shock just a rigid bar. Suspension takes energy to work which is better used for straight line performance.
