i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff430/1quikvento/pliers.jpgMy Mac dealer came thru today and I picked these up since I've always wanted a pair- let alone a set. And they were only $47.00 for the 3 of em. Came with a free pair of flat black coffee mugs w/ the mac tools logo on em. I plan on keeping the two larger ones here at work and putting the smaller pliers in my scooter tool kit. They're on the front page of the recent flier and the offer is good till 9/11/11 , so go get a set!! These kiwi's have gotten me out of a pinch quite a few times and now I dont have to borrow em anymore.suh-weeeet !

Pretty good deal for MAC pliers. I've never used a set of kiwi pliers or really put any thought into them. Read some reviews and it seems some people find them useful, some say they just sit in their toolbox. Depends what you do often. Would be nice for getting up under a dash or a tight spot. I think I'd consider a cheaper $20 set from EZ Red. I doubt I'd use them often. Hard to know. Sometimes I get something I think I'll prob use a few times and it ends up getting used a lot.
Here's what the manufacturers have to say about them...

(Zombie voice) Tools! Tools! Tools! < This is me at Harbor freight LOL I know the feeling. I can spend hours in that place just looking at every aisle and seeing what new/useful stuff they have.

Speaking of ez red- I bought a set of xl double ratcheting box flex spline wrenches a few years back and my snap on set has been collecting dust. I absolutely love them and more and more people in the shop had to get themselves on the band wagon.
I can relate with harfreight zombie syndrome. We also have a store called Workshop Tools, and they advertise as being "daycare for men". Boy what fun...

I loved having the mac and snap on truck roll around the hanger every wednesday. And - Delta let us charge up to $2500 and pay it off with a tax and interest free payroll deduct of $25 a pay. But now I am retired from the airlines - but I still got the tools.

So what kinda work did you do to the airplanes? Lets say I was getting tired of working at a honda dealer...would the airport be someplace I might consider putting in an application to? I live less than a 10 minute scooter ride to our air port- prolly 5 mins by car if i hit the lights right( only two of em).
