I have just pulled the plug and bought a Malossi 70cc kit for my Kymco Super 9. I have been kicking the idea around for two years now I plan to get a carb, probably the Arreche 19MM. I saw a Dellorto racing carb for a good price, not sure what the "PHBG" means though. In terms of an exhaust it's tough to find anything other then a Technigas RS II in chrome. I have a Technigas Next R in chrome that rusted quick so I painted black, I live at the beach so the salt air tears it up. This pipe will not work well with a 70cc. Are there other exhaust pipe options for a Kymco Super 9 with a 70BBK? I would be interested in a Stage 6 Pro, or a Yasuni C16, or even possibly a Leo Vince TT. The Leo Vince TT is just loud and have heard a poor performer compared to the RS II. I can't find any places that sell these pipes for a Kymco here in the USA. I did find a RS II for $105, and it's not chrome! It's a special order though and would take 4-6weeks for delivery. Any advice as to where to buy and/or recommendations for another reputable pipe? (or carb) Thanks

I'd take the DellOrto over the Arreche anyday. Some folks really like the Arreche carbs though. Tuning seems easier with the Dell to me and parts are easier to find, like jets, needles, slides... I have 19, 21, 24, 25, and 28mm DellOrtos. I might be biased. I do own an Arreche 19mm too. It's cool for the minarelli at least, because it comes all setup to just install (and tune of course). It's got the locator pin for the stock manifold and plugs in just like the stock enricher and works with the stock cable without a hitch. Those are the biggest pros of the Arreche to me. Here's a bit more info on the PHBG... www.mopedarmy.com/wiki/Dellorto

Yeah finding jets for the carb is important too, and needles if I have to. Thanks for the link. I just realized the Dell carbs are all clamp on, that's not going to fit my manifold. I recently upgraded to a 19mm intake (looks like original on outside, 5mm bigger inside) so I am thinking the Arreche will work well.
What about OKO? Are they just hard to tune? I wonder why they get a bad rap, can't be just because they are inexpensive.
Any info on pipe options and where to buy? I can't believe the only option is a Technigas in chrome for the Super 9.

The rs2 is a nice pipe for the S9.. :thumb: I got one... mopedhospital sells the technigas pipes and also provoscooter.. Seems all else are across the pond. But of course, You could always grab a "peace pipe" that's handmade from a member and have a great pipe, made in the states also... :thumb: I have/HAD a oko carb on my zx. I have no issues with them, i just haven't learned the dialing in part yet.. . The oko are a kiehin clone carb so, needles/jets are interchangable. I have an arreche also on my S9 but i'm still learning the "dial in" part, So i cant really give opinions.. All carbs are nerve racking.. :scared:

Thanks for the feedback on the Technigas, my Next R is "meh" and understand they put in baffles along the cone to restrict it some. I saw pictures of someone cutting one open and tearing it out. Some of the scooter forums based in the UK bash technigas, maybe I had/have preconceived notions that it is less then par. I am reading that the RS II is much improved. I wish I could find it other then in chrome, it's all MHR has as well. One place has it without the chrome, for just $105 if I can wait 6 weeks. I might do that. The salt air where I live rusted the Next R out quick, I had to sand it down and paint it black. I just want to make sure the RPM's of the Malossi match the RPM's the pipe can handle and guessing it's around 9,500. That Stage 6 Pro gets awesome reviews, as well the C16 from Yasuni. Just wish I could find one of those. What are your top speeds and cruising speeds that you are getting with the bbk i just ordered it for my aircooled super 9. And have the next r pipe. Im expecting about 55mph? I just ordered it today, I am guessing maybe about 55 as mentioned with stock gearing.

The LV's are restricted like that with internal baffles.. I have NO complaints with EITHER the next r or the rs2... I don't think i've seen the rs2 w/o chrome.(i like chrome. )MH had mine here within 2 weeks. :thumb: The only other reputable pipe here in the states would be the custom "peace pipes" made by our own 190mech. awesome shit dude. :thumb: Oh yeah, i also have the malossi kit, i cruise at high rpm. Have hit 11-11.5g for sure with NO issues,no problems, you wont do that witha LV. :riding: I have No problem hitting 65 indicated (will go a good bit PAST the h on the mph)which turns to be 60-62gps, and i havent dialed it yet...(of course i did a bit of port work on the cyl.,got some timings right)

That site does have some good prices but be careful and check the shipping cost!!!!!! Orders over $100 free shipping, below it's $5.95 flat rate. Something seems odd, not sure what or if it's based here in the USA.
