I’ve got aprilia sr50 with minarelli engine Here is my setup : stock cylinder stock carb Leo Vince Zx-R exhaust 4 gram rollers malossi green contra spring (60%) Bike seems to run decent on straight but the top speed is pretty low at about 38mph,and it bogs down on hills. What would you recommend me to change ?

Welcome to the forum, there are not many SR50 owners here but loads of general help available,38mph not so bad for a 50,if I was you I,d read through the technical section, and make sure the basics of servicing your scoot has been done.shooting from the hip I,d try some 6gram rollers in,let us know what that does.

Should be getting more speed than that. Is the variator restriction still in? Exhaust restriction removed? Is your belt worn?

Variator restriction is removed not sure about the exhaust, belt is ok but here is what i found out.I come up to a hill and it starts bogging down i pull the choke and it pulls up the hill no problem. What could be the thing?

Has it been jetted correctly for the exhaust? It's surprising now many people just bolt an exhaust on with no other modifications, and expect it to work.

I got it with this exhaust so no i don’t know if the jetting is correct. The factory jet is 65 i think would 72 be too big?

I would have a look what's in the carb first. But if it's a 65 jet, 72 is around the area it should be. With a standard air filter 10% is a safe margin.

I have a Piaggio Purjet SR50 so I can't help you with SR specific stuff but it sounds like you need to upset. If pulling the choke and making it richer helps then you need a bigger jet. Mine stock I'm running 5gram rollers and it feels pretty good. But on the Minarelli it could be 6 grams. Get some 5 gram and 6 gram rollers and you can always mix and match for 5.5 grams

4gr rollers are waaaay light. I have 4gr in my 70mph daily with a yasuni c16. Had 4.4gr with the metrakit sp pipe.
Try 5.5gr rollers and let us know how it reacts.
