Variator, Clutch, and Gearing Advice

I'm new to the forums, and looking for recommendations/experiences/preferences on variators and clutches. I have an '05 Strada RX8i (Keeway Matrix 50 (12mm wrist pin)) with a 70cc malossi iron, 19mm delly carb, polini intake and reed cage running the malossi reeds that came with the iron kit, and a Gianelli CR Extra exhaust.

Up until this point I have kept my tranny stock but for a 1k contra. It's time to upgrade the variator, clutch, and gearing. I'd appreciate any and all advice (good and bad experiences too).

I've been very pleased with the Hoca variators from PFS. There's a test here...

As for the clutch, you'd probably be fine with the stock clutch and a set of stiffer clutch springs.

Much appreciated, I wish the stock clutch had some life in it so I could swap out springs, but it's on its last leg already. You have any preferences on clutches? I'll take a look at those Hoca variators tonight.

if you buy the variator from parts for scooters i would also buy the clutch from them also... over 99 bucks and its free shipping. ive never owned a performance clutch but everyone that has commented on them has said they dont do much.
