Been looking for a thread on adding or adjusting the amount of oil in the front forks on a Vento Triton R4. Anyone know of one?
I am assuming the rear shock is either good or bad and you replace it?

If the rear shock gets too soft, replace it unless it's adjustable. I haven't seen a Triton with an adjustable rear shock stock though.
If the front is too soft, the easiest thing to do is to remove the caps on the forks and add a little more oil to each. Keep it even on both sides. Some people measure the distance of the oil from the top of the fork and match both sides that way. If it's too stiff, you'll want to remove just a little bit of oil. You've either got to remove the fork and dump it or use some sort of suction device to remove it. None of my scoots have a drain on the forks. There's a large allen head bolt in the very bottom of each fork, but that's not a drain. I found that out the hard way. lol That's what holds the two bits of the fork together.

I like the air I idea. I have had bikes with air valves before but I never thought of it for a scoot.
So what kind of oil do you put in there Bert (haha) and how do you get the caps off - grab em with vise grips? lol

17mm wrench or socket/ratchet for the caps on mine. Technically you should use fork oil. I tend the throw about anything in there. lol Last time I think I used 10w40 motor oil. Thicker or thinner oils can also adjust stiffness some.
