Went to see man I have known for about 30yrs who ran a tyre fitting business who at 73 has ceased trading due to a stroke. Got to his garage to help and he was very emotional having to close his family was helping move stuff and one bloke was trying to hassle him for his old bsa for peanuts and some tyres as well. I really hate anal retentives like that but we fekked the vulture off. Anyhow his wife asked if I would go round and help him rebuild some of his old bikes as he is at a loose end with nothing to do and still weak and I like tinkering on old stuff especially in a small heated garage.

Good for you!
Sometimes collections of a lifetime are sadly sold for pennies.

It's very sad when someone has put so much time and sweat into a business. It not just the value of the stock. It the lifetime of knowledge gone as well.

Make sure you don't give him the wrong kind of scarlet fever.

Plunger B31 ? I had one when I was 16...smacked it up on my 18th birthday...it was reborn as a '54 swingarm. ended it's days as an M20.
