I am rebuilding my minarelli motor from the case up. The problem i'm having is even thou the crank and crank bearings went in smooth using the hot cold method I couldn't get the other bearingings in (clutch and gear) No matter how hot and cold they just don't go in. should i press them in or maybe sand the hole a little. How hot do you need to make the place the bearings go in. No more oven treatment since i put the crank in. Could the bearings be the wrong ones. I got the same numbers off the ones i took out of the old case. You know these chinese cases are never precise.

Take it to a machine shop and have them press it in.

Hot/ cold will usually get the job done. You can use a heat gun to heat the cases good and hot. if there is a hole through the cases, such as with the primary shaft you can make a puller from threaded rod, washers, nuts and sockets to pull the bearing in. Always use some oil on the bearing and case if pulling or pressing the bearing in. Also push or pull on the outer race of the bearing only, never the inner race. Good luck!

Around 250F should be hot enough to get them in. Heat gun will get it there.
If in doubt about the sizes, get out the measuring tools. Don't go sanding stuff down.

Can i replace the open bearing with a sealed one. 6203/P5 to 6203/2RSH. I would not use a sealed bearing in the gearbox. You can usually pop the seals out of the bearing and you should be ok.
