I hear there is now a school of thought that the 20/20 carb is better on a 177 kit instead of the 24/24 carb. I not found any comments about the whys and wherefore's of this yet. Can anyone enlighten me please.

it depends on what you want from your scooter. the smaller carb will give you better economy, throttle response, torque/ take off from a dead stop, and in lower rpms. the larger diameter carb will give you worse economy, worst throttle response, might have a little less takeoff; However, you will get more hp in higher RPMs, a higher RPM capability, which equals a higher top speed and the extra hp to propel the scooter through the higher top speed. a smaller carb is better for stop light to stop light. a bigger carb is better for WOT cruisers. at least this is my perspective of the theory....
