Anyone have any first hand experience with KTM as a brand? I’m thinking of picking up a shifty and came across the KTM Duke 390 and it appeals to me. 44 hp and 320 pounds sounds like fun, fuel injected and abs - sure why not. 4T yeah I’m a traitor. I’m really just looking to hear about reliability. I do have a few dealers around here so I wouldn’t think warranty or parts would be an issue but then again I’ve never owner a KTM. I remember them being known as Kill The Mechanic, not sure why though...

I was recently looking at that too, adventure-bike-wise it would be a little small. No first-hand experience but "hear" good things. Thanks for asking this

I guess I should “try it on”. Going by videos and images online it looks to be a decent fit but it’s hard to tell. I’ve “heard” it’s got some impressive bottom end.

KTM is a good machine, hats off to them keeping the 2 stroke stuff going..Have you looked at the Japan market for this application? They may not be quite up to the KTM standards, but usually can be tickled to get there for less...

Between KTM, Yamaha and Honda - Yamaha is the most expensive option but also has a larger engine. Honda and KTM are very similar in appearance and pricing, the Honda has a slightly smaller engine. My garage keeps getting smaller and smaller.

I think boostcrazy from HP Logic has an RC with a Wereks exhaust, quick shift, and a PCV. youtu.be/ey3zFYGEMQM .And I know Brandon and Carter of SSS has a Duke and a RC. youtu.be/n4oRYMW01YE I think they all love there bikes. That quick shift is a trip. Just rips through the gears smoothly.
