Hi, I was looking at getting these but reviews say the bolts are garbage. Does anyone know where to get a set like this with good bolts? Thanks

No fancy colors, but this is where I often buy hardware : www.mcmaster.com/standard-rounded-head-screwswww.mcmaster.com/nutsYou could look for anodized countersink washers and fairing bolts if you want a custom look. Never used them so I can't tell you where. I think mostly don't use aluminum bolts. They could work, but steel is better even for fairings IMO. I've got plastic bolts on my TMAX windshield (stock) and those are the worst yet. A tiny bit of extra torque or a bit that doesn't fit perfect and it either strips the head or snaps.

Nice.
Have you tried quick release fasteners? I was thinking about those but I wasn't sure if they were any good.

I've never tried quick release fasteners, unless you count hood pins.

Google Dzus fasteners. I agree about plastic windshield bolts, set should always with several extra ones and order form for more. On the + side, they absorb vibration to reduce cracking and don't want to come loose. Stainless machine screws with nylon washers and nyloc nuts is a good option. Old man Wright was right. 'Form [not appearance] follows function.'

If you are going to buy stainless bolts A4 grade is the more resistant to salt. Though A2 will be ok unless you are riding in a corrosive environment

Cool. I have ordered some and they're arriving today.
The air box had slots in which the side plastics slipped in to giving them extra support and reducing vibration. The airbox is made of burly plastic. I'm thinking about cutting it up so the carb and air filter can stay on the way it is (it's turned 180) and still provide support.

Fastenal has everything. It's bolt and fastener heaven. If you can't find what you need they will make you something.
