I have been messing with these TNG's for about a month and a customer who got one brought it back after riding it for about 150 miles saying it was incredibly hard to start and only when full throttle was applied. I started the usually rundown of components and tried getting it started with the plastics off and noticed the starter solenoid was clicking the whole time while trying to get it running and while running. Thing is, I was kickstarting it as there is no battery in it. Hmm. made sure the start switch wasn't engaging some how and tried it again. Ditto on the issue. Scoot has the factory alarm/remote start that vento's and tng's and possibly others have. Pulled fuse (need the alarm in line or kill switch doesn't work or you can jump the ground on the harness) and it ran perfect. Soooooo, with the bike running or getting current the alarm was also constantly trying to start it and I am assuming interrupting spark. I took it apart and can't see anything that stands out but obviously the starter relay in the alarm is constantly completing circuit. Just wanted to post this to maybe give some help to anyone who may have had similar issues. Also, I have a ton of these alarms laying around from deleting them. I know if I was able to match the number on the key fob to the number on the alarm casing it will work (RF signal set to same freq) but none match. I see a RF freq tuning screw on the circuit board. Can I adjust it to match the key fob?

Not sure about matching up the remote and alarm, but thanks for sharing the experience. Yet another reason to ditch the stock alarm.
