2 questions:
1. Does anyone still make and market a US legal 2 stroke 49cc scooter? If so - which one/s uses the Minarelli style engine?
2. What is the better/best 4 stroke models with max leg room. I am 6'4" but actually fit fine on the Triton R4. Look silly - but it is fun so I don't care...

1)They are still out there. I dunno all the makes and models, haven't looked for a new scoot in a long time. Keeway is one. Check out this Benelli, I want one! 2) Look for anything large frame. You should be able to tell just looking at 'em. I'm 6'3" & 250lbs and I ride a little retro sometimes. I have to sit all the way back on the seat to fit my legs in and can't really turn cause my knees are in the hbars that way. Usually sit with my knees out. Still fun though and that's the one I take on the really long trips. lol It would bother some people, some don't care. :dunno: |

genuine still does 2 stroke 50s
and the roughhouse is nice for taller people as it has built in foot rests that let you scretch you legs out and it is a hm engine in there
the down side is they use there own intake and reed valve so that can be a sticking point in moding
the yamaha zuma for 2011 is still a 2 stroke hm scooter looks like the last year for yamahas legendary 2 stroke zuma 2012 the zuma is a rebodied c3 with a front disc brake
both of these are 50 state legit

I rode a Benilli they are very nice a shop here has them on the floor a bit pricey but over all very nice and pretty peppy stock and deresricted.

I spent a lot of time looking for one here in Louisville. I finally found the Eton but all the scoot shops say they wont be bringing 2-smokers into their shops in the future even if they import them again. There is a Keeway F-Act(??) down the street now, that I am entertaining picking up just to try to stockpile 2t's ! .:: Edit ::. Maybe at this point in time there could be a sticky forum
for people to post where they see new 2-strokes ? Just a thought . . .  |
