So I have a ruckus that runs but idles a bit rough and poor throttle response at low rpms. Out on the road at speed everything seems fine. Valves are in spec, carb has been cleaned. I’m getting a rev in rpm when I spray carb cleaner around the carb connector boot, so I took it off and cleaned it and didn’t notice any rips or tears, clamped the shit out of it and still spikes rpms when I spray near there. Would a piece of radiator how do the trick if I can find one the right size? Or just order the 30 dollar part I guess.

It could be the carb connector, or the spacer, or the O-ring seals. Get some new parts. The aluminum parts are better than the rubber coated OEM style.
