Thanks for the concern. Our power went out at 6PM last night and it came back on at about 10AM today. The storm wasn't as bad as forecasted here. I just happen to be in the one circuit or whatever it's called that loses power all of the time. My father and I went out at about 4AM and 2 miles one way or 2 miles the other there were lights on. Lots of trees down, some roads washed out, but it appears everything is basically OK. I was out for about 3hrs in the Mazda (sorry, no scoots running reliable ATM and I didn't know what to expect for sure) taking pics and video. I'll end up posting something.
I haven't even had a chance to turn on the TV yet and see what's up. Came in, power was on, got on here. lol Hope everyone is safe and powered up.

Thanks for the good report. You're really fortunate on the speedy electrical power restoration. Sounds like people will be detouring a bit for a while. I wonder if businesses at Ocean City will be able to salvage much of their Labor Day expectations? There will be plenty of work for the unemployed for a while up and down the East coast. At least that will be one kinda good consequence.

There is much relief in Ocean City and other Eastern Shore residents/businesses for sure. This is their make/break weekend for the most part coming up next w/e.
Glad things are hardly worse than if a strong slow moving conventional storm system had moved through. Hate to see those trees damaged/destroyed, though.
Thanks for the vids!

Glad to hear you're alright, Brent. Robert was getting me kinda worried when he mentioned you weren't on after 5pm yesterday. And I think you cheated using your truck in that video. You shouldve went out surveying the damage on T1 or T2 Just think! If you went through some of those high-water spots, you could call it water cooling

I promise you, I really wanted to take a scoot. T1 would break down. It's not even a guess, it would. T2 is not in tune yet, and it's hard to tune when the scoot is blowing around and you can't hear it or really feel what's up. The Venus is always down because it's pipe keeps getting tested on P90. I have forded one bit of water where I watched the truck go through in the vid with T1 before when it was still a 70. I dunno how it didn't die or why I was dumb enough to do it. lol Doubt I'll be working on P90 like I planned in the next few days even. With all the limbs and trees screwed up around our property I've got a date with another kind of 2T.

HeH! Now you know why I don't want to mod mine. It's reliable as hell in stock form. I wouldn't mind building up that FM engine maybe and running it til it blows up. That way I have a back up engine. Maybe you should get a stock Mina scoot for emergencies.
I didn't think your vid was crappy. It was cool because there wasn't a damn "journalist" yacking away incessantly with a banner and a crawl covering the lower 1/3 of the screen. It kinda felt like I was in the car.

LOL, glad your good to go. I was just thinking of our flood last year, and how we of course got in the car and drove around on the back roads to check it out. And driving thru stuff like that. We're all a little nutty I guess. My sons car was pretty much totaled last month getting cought in a flash flood. While delivering a pizza. That water can mess up a car. Careful out there

I think that video was good man!!! You are great at holding the cam still and driving straight, all while sitting in the passenger seat! For real tho. Glad all is well on your steps ;D. Got kinda worried about you bud :paranoid: . Thanks for the good footage. Like i said, its a great vid.

Thanks again for the concern and the praise. I love my GoPro Motorsport kit and all it's mounts. I was cussing it trying to figure out how to look out the windshield for a while though. lol

Yeah I live in Fenwick. They evacuated everyone in Ocean City, next day people in Coastal Delaware (I am in that evacuation zone). I bought a generator thinking the worse and preparred as best I could. Luckily we just got some rain and wind, the storm surge combined with all the rain I was expecting flooding. Nothing thank God, the power didn't even flicker. Video from Sat before the sun went down. (1st 1/2 of video showing out back was sped up) www.youtube.com/watch?v=i_qGT53YiuUWent to the beach in OC early Sunday before people got back into town. Did a little metal detecting (found a necklace) and basically enjoyed the day. These markers show how much sand was removed. Most Nor'easters dig huge cuts in the sand, the hurricane just made a gradual slope from the dune to the water line.
