That things awesome. They have one on display in Baltimore in the Montgomery Park building (Montgomery Ward) along with other Allstate bikes that Sears and Montgomery ward partnered together and made.

The "split-single" was truly a Puch output with Italian engineering. However, they were not the pioneers of two stroke splits. I think Lucas, Trojan and Girelli had some like that in the early 1900's. I am recalling some museum pieces and restorations.
Honda's NSR oval piston came, in what? The 70's? Japan clonage?

The oval piston NR Honda came about in ‘92 I believe. There was a racebike, but I don’t know if it was a different year.
