Hey whats up guys. I own a 2011 Yamaha Zuma. I just rolled up on 2k miles and have done the regular maintenance. Air filter was last cleaned about 300 miles ago, spark plug was checked about 400 miles ago and was in good condition, belt and etc all seem to be in good shape.
Anyways, I filled up before coming home. Got home and parked but recieved a phone call and headed back out. About 2 miles away from my house my engine starts to sputter. Wouldn't go over 20 for nothing. So I pulled into someones driveway and put it on the center stand and gas'd it a little. Few seconds later it starts running fine. No lose of power and is driving like it was. I got home turned it off and went out a couple hours later and it fired up like normal.
So my question is, maybe I had a little water in my last fill up? Should I just brush it off or should I look for something else that could be causing this? Guess call me paranoid but just looking for some advice.
Sorry for the story haha. I also let the scooter warm up for about a min before I took off the second time. I had also ran for 20 to 30 miles before I headed home. Filled up with the same gas I always use from the same station.

Glad to hear you're racking up the miles on the new Zuma.
Coulda been just a bit of debris or something that got cuaght up somewhere for a sec? I'd probably check the fuel filter and leave it alone as long as it looks OK. Wouldn't be a bad thing to change it after 2,000 miles, though it probably doesn't need it. If it happens again, you might wanna go a little deeper into the fuel system.

Using a clear fuel filter (transparent) might help you.
