I used a Naraku. It's a nice piece and came with a contra and 2 sets of rollers, but I can't say I was terribly impressed for $80 when I bought it.

The J Costa is an interesting variator. Never seen anything like that before. From what I can see that system does without the inconsistencies of the friction inherent to slides having to slde or rollers having to roll. But it would surely be more expensive to buy and to upgrade. Thebatman, what has been your experience with these?

On my Kymco People S 50 i install a Polini variator last month. Before i use a NCY variator and it used very fast... The POLINI variator is bigger of the other one my Kymco run faster now!
Good luck!

hmm, so I have here Malossi +1 Polini +1 Naraku 0 J. Costa -1 Prices highest first. J.Costa Polini Malossi Naraku Lets see now, what does my retailer says, as comment for malossi was... dont even think to buy it... Seems that Polini, but will do more investigation on it. As I heard from two different retailers also only postive about Polini, no others, especially for the 2 stroked engines. And strange thing I just remembered, whan I was looking ine of the Kymco manuals, there was also Polini So Polini it is. VERMI, if you have any contacts, can you send them to me?

one interesting fact I received from one of the sellers, when I was asking, why J Costa is better than Malossi....
So Answer: we prefer j.costa, because it is also faster in max speed. malossi is just better in acceleration but not in top speed
Lets hope Polini has same the perfomance, as the J Costa.
