Hello, my scooter is a Kymco People S 50 (4 strokes) with a 72cc kit with the original head valve and air box. Today i re-install the original exhaust on it to see if i can see a big difference with my Naraku Tecno Racing performance exhaust. With the original Kymco exhaust the performance almost the same top speed and acceleration. But with the Naraku Tecno Racing, the motor run better and didn't hesitate in acceleration. I put pictures of the exhaust i have and see the difference between the size of the manifold! Naraku Tecno Racing is on the scooter! Different size of the pipe. The size inside the Naraky exhaust. And the size of the Kymco exhaust! Do you think a performance exhaust can make a big difference with a 72cc kit or it's better to leave the original one on the scooter??? Thank's!

For the most part, a more pleasing (deeper, throatier) exhaust note is the most advantage gained by going with a aftermarket exhaust. There's just not a lot of power to be had from a 50cc 4t exhaust mod generally speaking. A lot of people take a long drill bit (18 inches or so long and either 1/4 inch or 3/8 inch diameter) and drill through all the baffle plates if the exhaust outlet on the muffler is not angled so this is not possible unless one is willing to drill through the end cap and weld up the hole. Since you are running 72cc your Naraku exhaust was probably a good choice. Ever check your fuel consumption?

That's about 55 mpg as I figure it.... not real good but not real bad either. You probably keep it wrung out most of the time I guess.

At the end of the day, very likely your "performance exhaust" is a stocker for a 150cc GY6 with a different muffler. If you want cheap sometimes there is cheap to be had @ GIO www.giobikes.com/WATCH the shipping though... it can be a killer. The best deals are on discontinued, or simply weird stuff. I bought a couple of GY6 150cc "performance exhaust systems" in pink (nothing easy-off oven cleaner can't/won't fix) for $2. I bought 3 (3X$2) and shipping was $25, so they were $10 each.
