Somehow, sometime last night my garage door ended up open long enough to freeze my pipes last night . Im still not quite sure how it got open? Its a really old(20+years) garage door opener. I checked it this morning and it went up and down fine? Must have been some kind of a fluke...Im just glad everything is still were i left it . My aprilia being the easiest to get right by the big door made my stomach turn this morning . I thank everything good in life that nothing was stolen ;D. I wasnt too worried about anyone coming into my home as Torquer, my pitbull mix sleeps right by the door to the house from the garage and he dosnt take to kindly to being awoke in the middle of his beauty sleep So now im using bottled water and trying to thaw the pipes with my propane heater. Hope it doesnt take too long, it would be a PITA to take a shower with bottled water lol. Hope none of my pipes break !

That sucks. I've had it happen once, but the pipe busted. If it doesn't thaw out fast enough, you can just get the garden hose out for your shower. As the Lipton Tea commercials proclaim, "Now that's brisk baby." Garage doors do stupid stuff every now and then, or at least mine do. From time to time one of mine will close 1/2 - 3/4 and then open back up like something has triggered the safety feature. I always go check the beams and tracks and there's never anything there. Sometimes it takes 5-6 tries to get it to close, but this only happens once a month maybe.

Nowadays there is so much radio frequency traffic it's amazing that our TV's stay on one channel more than two seconds. Put the power supply on a switch that you can flip at night. No power, no open. Treat it like another lock.

I got them thawed only to find two leaks right off the bladder tank. After taking it apart i could see that it was well do for replacement anyway, all rotten. I think the freeze was just enough pressure to cause it to spring a leak. Its all good ;D. Easy fix and it needed some updated plumbing anyway. Now, can anybody give me a ride to the hardware store lol . I looked at Skeedr and thought, i miss you too buddy but its my limit. No more than four city blocks when below 20degrees lol, Skeedr agreed and seemed to shiver a lil.
