Hi, I am so glad I found this site. I just acquired a 2004 e-ton beamer that is brand new thru a deal I found on our local Craig's list. In another forum I was inquiring on its value so I could do a quick resale and try to make a buck. But thanks to some good info from a member "90GTVert" I decided to keep it. Now I'm stoked about doing some upgrades on it. When I traded for the scoot it had 1 mile on it. After a couple of weeks I have grown to really enjoy a 2t. My wife and I both have 150cc gy6 scoots and have been enjoying them for a couple of years but this 2t is for some reason a blast to tinker with. I am not a mechanic but kinda know my way around the basics of motors. Hence I have ordered the following for the new Beamer.
1. 70cc BBK " From autotech 355 " 2. 1500 rpm Torque Spring 3. 2000 rpm clutch springs 4. 80-100 Main jets 5. 6 gr roller weights I have been told that my oil injection won't be enough that I would also need to add oil to my gas tank to keep the mix true,Also been told no need, just adjust the oil injection. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am totally new to the 2t world. Thanks,Dave

most auto lubes are able to give engouh oil untill you put in a kit that is going to have you reving over 11000 to 12000 rpm im not personaly famiuler with your autolube system by there are some out there that you can adjust to add more oil (like my stella) the current yamaha style pump you can get a part from europe to richen up the oil mix but it is hard to get

When I got to this site I was certain that I had had enough of 2Ts and swore that my next purchase would be a 4T. More and more members here showed me the way to the light and made me realise that I simply didn't understand 2Ts even though I thought I did. To understand them is to love them. And I learn something new every day.
Welcome to the board, and congrats on your conversion to this side of The Force!

Thanks for the welcomes. Yes tango, I too didn't have an interest in a 2t. But dang pound for pound they pack such a bigger punch then a 4t, plus they seem to be a lot less complicated. Which is perfect for me cause I love to tinker and this is rite up my ally. I installed the clutch springs today. Torque spring should be here tomorrow or Sat. I switched to 6gr rollers from the stock 5 gr. stock roller and took a small run around the block. As of now the 5gr are 3-5 mph better on inclines then the 6 gr's. That may change after the torque spring change and bbk install.

Question, Will the BBK advise me of what spark plug to get, or can I use the stock plug?

Some BBKs tell you to use a different style of plug, like Polini offers kits for short and long reach plugs. Some racy kits need colder plugs. The majority of kits just use the same plugs as stock. Autotech's kits are fine with stock plugs.

I have no idea what my ring gap should be. Can anyone help a brother again lol? My BBK just hit the door. Dang that was fast. From Tiawan to my door in five days. And a three day weekend to tinker. Kudo's to autotech they live up to their reputation.

some of the hm engines like yamaha oem run a bpr7hs plug the p stands for projector the 7 is the heat range so for a cast iron kit that has a tame port map (like the autotech kit) i would run a br8hs if it was an aluminum kit i would run a br9hs if it was a mid race to race cast iron kit i would also run the br9hs all those are ngk plugs

Would .008 be a safe gap for the rings on this autotech kit?
