Can anyone tell me how to check a stator to see if it is sending an ignition pulse to the cdi, I've checked for charging got 90v ac ,cdi is good, coilis good, but still wont fire. sorry this is a GY6 engine. I put cdi and coil on another engine and they worked fine. I'm thinking something is bad in stator but don't want to change it out unless sure its the problem.

The trigger voltage, being .4-.6vac momentarily, is really hard to check, unless you have an oscilloscope. Using a ohmmeter, I guess 500-600 ohms, is in the ballpark. Scrappydog does sell a pick-up coil separate. My 1st check is always for no ground on the pin that the ignition switch, kill switch, and stand down switch feeds a ground to to shut down the engine.
