I ordered a new lock set for a customer last week and the post office delivered it to the wrong address. The post office said they asked the carrier what happened to my parcel and she said she couldn't remember and there's nothing they can do as far as reimbursing me the cost because it had no insurance. I am hoping it might show up eventually but I went ahead and ordered another one but this time I asked the dealer for Certified Mail delivery so I will have to physically pick it up at the post office myself. In the future I'm going to require that any orders are either insured or sent Certified Mail so I don't end up eating the cost.

Sorry for your troubles. My mail carrier has been having trouble doing her job lately too. I haven't got my mail for 2 days, but I got a stack of mail for my neighbor yesterday. It's unusual with 4 of us living here to not get any mail for 2 days in a row, so I'm wondering who's getting our mail. Last week I had the same thing happen. Same mail carrier that's delivered here for many years. I love USPS for shipping and generally have no troubles, but this sucks. I thought FedEx had cornered the market on crappy service in this field, but I guess USPS is trying to get in there too.

You are probably going to have to stop in and have a chat. They are real good at hiding phone numbers for the post office around here. I have problems with our mail at times. The first year I lived here all of my magazine subscriptions were canceled when the carrier sent them back. We missed a few things like school year book payments, etc. For a couple months I was not getting mail on saturdays. When I got someone elses mail and left it in the box with the flag up, it sat for a few days, that's when I went to the post office. They asked if I wanted them to do anything about the carrier, I suggested a warning would be nice, and I havn't had a problem in awhile now. They get real good pay at the USPS
