well changed the oil i have seen cars that have gone a year before an oil change with cleaner looking oil. ran some chemical cleaner through it and change the oil again. now it seems to run better. not that it ran badly before. i will be making a trip to my mom and dads soon on it. it is only a hundred miles or so but i wanted to do it for a bit. just could not bring myself to do it on the 50cc.

Kudos on the thorough oil change. If you didn't already, clean the screen out next time around too.
Good luck on your trip.

yeah the screen was surprisingly clean. had a bit of a scare on the way home from work tonight the lights just died. well hit a bump and they came back on. so i thought ok its just a short checked some wires taped them up along with the connections now its all fixed. but damn its scary as hell going down hill at 45~50 mph and all of the sudden no lights.

ok so odd issue running to my rents no problem 60 mph all the way there. was there for a few hours on the way home it would bog down randomly. now idk if this makes a difference or not but it was 80 when i went out there and 65 when i came home. i have no idea what it could be, but the scooter is all stock.

Was it really completely random, any speed/any throttle position, or did it happen only at WOT cruising or only when accelerating for example? If it's completely random the first thing I usually do is check for anything loose in the ignition system or loose hoses or other carb connections.

sorry intermittent at wot i think would be a better description of it. it was around 55+ mph when it did it but not all the time just intermittently i think it happened three times all on flats.

If you just let off and then got back into it and it was OK it could be a lean or rich condition. A look at the plug might help you decide which is most likely.

you know i see all these things for an intake manifold for the 150cc.... but why not just flip the manifold and carburetor around? would that not be easier then having a pos tube on the manifold. another note this is a custom exhaust idea of mine. input welcomed. and yes yes my skills at paint are unmatched i know.
