I like the exhaust idea. The chambered muffler I built for a friend's 150 sounded beefy. Deepest sound I've heard outta one. Unfortunately vids do it no justice, but there's one below anyway. The only problem with it was the square look. I made it just like a little 2 chamber muffler. Something similar in cylindrical form would be sweet!

That homemade "Vertchamber" muffler is still my favorite! You ever see the prices of the fourpoke exhausts? Holy WOW! I thought our 2T pipe were bad! They want just as much for a plain ole nuthin fancy exhaust for a four. Make more of those and i bet you could make some money!?!

Back to the topic... dont think the cones are beneficial at all in a fourstroke are they?

I think the cones are more about keeping exhaust out of corners, not really acting as a diffuser and convergent cone. My square muffler used metal sheets to triangle off the corners too. Here's what mine was like inside. Just so it's not totally confusing, the center piece is not as tall as the muffler, so it wasn't actually blocking off the exhaust, just acting as a vent.

yeah the idea on mine with the cones is to keep the flow going a single direction as to not create to much back pressure. ( in theory ) and i say in theory because i have yet to build one so i am not for sure on this yet. but i want it to be a round muffler.

The bogging at WOT could be as simple as a fuel supply issue. Like a partially clogged fuel filter or a piece of debris in the petcock or something so the engine burns the gas slightly faster than it's supplied.
