Hello guys, i have a minareli LC scooter, and i recently upgraded to a giannelli reverse sports pipe. I put 4.5 gram rolers on the variator. Thing is it has litle to no power on the low revs. When i start going, it slowly loses power, and than it goes flying, gains a lot of power. So is this the pipe or i was thinking if it was the carburetor because its 12 mm stock.

Did you fit lighter rollers when you installed the pipe? Did you alter the jetting to suit?

Did you fit lighter rollers when you installed the pipe? Did you alter the jetting to suit? Well i had theexhaustfor 2 days on stock rollers, 5grams, than i switched to 4.5 grams rollers, and no i did not change jets on the carburetor, is that something i must do??

Approximately 10-15% bigger main jet.

Might need some lighter rollers too. You're new exhaust will move the power further up the rev range. That's why you are only getting full power, after the variator is run out of travel.

You cant say. Depends on the rest of the setup, the carbs and exhaust itself. I´ts try and error.

We see this over and over...when you change a pipe to "hopefully" something better. The safe thing to do is up-jet. If too rich you can adjust.
If you do too many changes without good analysis...or feeling, then you need to back up.
Stated recently in a few threads: Check and tune your ignition before your mods. Then swap a part...check again. Tune something and check again. CVT tuning is "usually" done after the engine is singing well.
Two strokes are funny that way. You kind of have to sneak up on the proper setting. When you find it...it will scare you! If not? You made too much noise in the weeds.
It is easy work..hard to learn...and fun as hell to get right!

i would take off ur air filter and cover it with ur hand while riding and try to get ur thumb in there with other hand on throttle steering and reving as your moving slowly finger fuck the air hole and see it has more power at the low end with more air and may need choking at high rpm i did it on mine and now i ended up with a stock airbox 72cc malossi big bore and yasuni r exhgaust

I have the Gianelli reverse on my SR50 and I find the power is between 8-9K RPM. You just need to get your rollers and springs to get you there as fast as possible.
