Hello There Great and lovely people!, hope you are having a wonderful time!
Yesterday i decided to get my hands dirty and get more confidence working on my GY6 150 cc maxi size Scooter, i ordered stock Carb Keihen (or whatever its named) the Japanese carb and decided to replace mine , i also worked on changing the Vacuum lines to a better quality ones, and adding a free flow air filter, after doing that and going for a test drive i noticed that the Performance was decreased, and i knew it was because of the free flow airfilter because i didn't upgrade the jet size on my new carb , also the old one was stock jet, i got back to stock airfilter and notice the performance came back to where it was, just to let you know i have a Free Flow Chinese Exhaust on it (Akrapovic Replica) and have Dr.Pulley Silders , forgot what weight they are but they give boost to acceleration which is really noticeable with high RPM range, i also upgraded my belt to Kevlar Belt and Clutch and clutch bell and spring (Red) , so now i think what is missing to unleash the full power potential is to do the right main jet size, and add the free flow air filter, so yesterday i ordered the main jet kit to do the job
now when i went back home and disassembled my old Carb (Stock one) which is similar to the one i already put on my GY6 , i noticed that the Main jet size was 102 which is crazily restricted! , i read on many forums and they mention if you have a free flow exhaust and free flow airfilter the jet should be around 115-135 size, i believe that is a huge difference than from what i have now
so what kind of performance gain i should be expecting after upgrading the jet size, i am planning to use 130 to start with
Thanks alot
